Pinamalayan: Moving Forward as the Rainbow City of Oriental Mindoro PDF Print E-mail

During the activities in relation to the 92nd Founding Anniversary of Pinamalayan, it was publicly announced as part of the messages of the local government officials that Pinamalayan, being a first class municipality, is now aspiring for its conversion into component city. As expected, different reactions arise from the people. The fact remains that a lot of PinamalayeƱos are skeptical about the prospects cityhood brings. The question being posed now is why the LGU is aggresively pursuing cityhood? And the biggest challenge is to make the people realize the advantages and disadvantages of the cityhood of Pinamalayan which definitely entail s an effort because this would mean step-by-step process in educating the citizens.
