The Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS)

is an organized way of collecting information at the local level for use of the local government units, national agencies, non-government agencies, and civil society for planning, program implementation and monitoring.Develop by National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), it is designed to address the lack of data at the local level and other statistical gaps such as the necessary disaggregated data for diagnosing extent of poverty at the local level, determining the causes of poverty, formulating apropriate polices and programs, identifying eligible beneficiaries, and assessing impact of policies and programs.
